Get to Know Me

I started working within Education in 2015 after being a stay at home Mum for 9 years. During my time of working within a primary School and considering what I wanted from my future, I started training as a Counsellor. I moved into Secondary Education where alongside my Counselling training, I studied as a Nurture Practitioner and soon became the Whole School Mental Health Coordinator. I felt passionate about this role and supporting children, something I continued when I decided to leave Education and focus on my own Counselling Private Practice which is based in Wakefield. I continue to work with both adults and children.

However there were elements of my old job which I could not take with me but I knew I was experienced and trained in- why let all that passion go to waste?! I had also learnt first hand the unbelievable amount of difficulties that school staff are exposed to through vulnerable children and tragedies. I founded The Yorkshire Consultancy Co. in 2022 and continue to develop this alongside my profession as a Counsellor.

I attend regular CPD throughout the year as part of my BACP membership requirements. Some of my more relevant qualifications are:

~Level 2 Accreditation in Providing Good Clinical Supervision
